Nancy L. Wilson
Director of Marketing

Marketing Director Nancy Wilson has spent most of her career in the nonprofit sector, having served as executive director of three nonprofits and development director for two. She received her undergraduate degree from Millsaps College and her masters in Public Relations from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Her responsibilities with the law firm rest with planning and coordinating seminars, working with the media, and overall marketing strategies.

 

Her hobbies include playing tennis and bridge and reading.  She and a friend have a business called Professional Edge...Business Etiquette Consulting.  The website is www.southernprofessionaledge.com.

Susan W. Byrd
Office Administrator

Susan Byrd wears multiple hats in the Wilson Elder Law Center as Office Manager, Financial Manager, and paralegal duties. Throughout her career she has worked in the private and public sectors. In the private sector she has worked as a legal secretary. Working for the City of Biloxi, she has served as a secretary, computer operator, planning technician, and Deputy Clerk of Council. On a daily basis Susan is the coordinator of legal services and assures that the firm runs smoothly.

 

Susan and her husband David are the proud parents of three children, and enjoy spending time with their three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

 

Dawn McKenzie
Elder Care Coordinator

Dawn V. McKenzie joined the staff at Wilson Elder Law Center in March, 2009. Dawn has over 20 years experience in social work including conducting child abuse and neglect investigations for the Department of Family and Childrens Services, home health and hospice elderly case management and bereavement counseling. Dawn graduated From University of Southern Mississippi in 1987.

 

Dawn and her husband Ben have a son, Jordan,19 who has recently joined the Navy Reserves, and a daughter Lily, 9. Dawn and her family enjoy traveling, boating, snow skiing and photography.

Terry Thornhill
Administrative Assistant/Client Coordinator

Terry Thornhill joined the staff in April, 2009. She came to Wilson Elder Law Center after working in Retail Management for over 25 years. Terry recently returned to college to pursue a business management degree. Not only does she exhibit exceptional client services skills and compassion for the elderly and disabled, Terry has meticulous organizational skills which help the firm run efficiently and smooth. Terry is most always the point of first contact for Wilson Elder Law Center and she well represents the welcoming and comforting mannerism which the firm embraces.

Terry and her husband, Jim, live in Pascagoula, Mississippi and have two children, Jason and Julie, and four grandchildren. She and a friend have a catering business which keeps Terry busy in any spare time that she might  have.
